    Multistrada V4

    https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/...full%20details

I felt like I've been in a committed relationship with my trusty and well sorted GS - but I might be getting a boner for this bike.

37,000 mile major service interval. 170 hp. < 500lbs dry. Yeah Ducati typically lies about HP and weight numbers but still.... motto bello e sexy

Just announced so lots of questions remain.

The closest reputable Ducati dealer to me is over an hour away through Wash DC beltway madness. That's been a deterrent for me to own a Ducati. That said, I've put my name on the list to get a call when they become available. I'll probably wait until the first year bugs are ironed out of it but hopefully there won't be much of that given the engine has been out for a few years.

Interesting , Ducati might just win me back with that kind of maint interval.

Am I the only one confused? The current Multistrada stats are below. What tis the advantage (service intervals aside) of the V4? Honestly, I'd pick the current one.

True dat! (and maybe a flatter torque curve). I'd love to do a side by side demo.

I still can't get used to the beak style of these bikes. I'd like to like it but ..... maybe some day. Then again, this ain't bad for a beaky thing.

Ordinarily I'd say that ADV bikes in general require some function over form eye to see them as anything other than ugly. That said, I'm not sure I've ever discovered what the function is of the beak when the bike has a lower fender over the front wheel. Is this our modern day motorcycle equivalent to tail fins on cars from the '50's?

It's the best looking ugly nose bike out there.

I get a lot of "Nice bike" comments on my K13.

Why is that here, Karl. The beak? Or are you on a raindance for a V4? ?
