ive worked a deal trading in my 1260 on one, and its a sweet deal, they are being very generous. however I'm having a hard time deciding. I keep getting hung up on the double sided swing arm and 19" front wheel. its the weird things that bother me ............but that motor, I just love that motor
Well, Bill, it does not have the desmo valves, and the torque is less than that of the 1260. Really. I would imagine a 4 will have more of it.
Then what is the point of it all?
And the bilateral swing arm. And very marginal weight saving, which in your case is not an issue as you are a feather weight.
Confused as you are.
If I were you, I would wait for a next model, they might bring a blinged out version, like a Pikes Peak all carbon with a souped up real Ducati engine.
go to 3:55 to 4:15 in the link, ??? i guess ill need to go to indy and ride it< i dont think he has a demo yet, but he might let me put some miles on it??
yeah, do that before you trade. Like I said, I would wait. The covid period releases dont count as they know sales are down. I dont think anyone will release a model at this time.
mani, this is one of the better reviews, and I've been watching a lot lately,
go to 22:00 to 23:00.......................................... if you ride like i like to ride, the 1260 in high revs, the 1260 is buzzy as hell, especially in the seat area........
and as far as that goes, the earlier bikes before the 1260, were a more sporty bike, shorter wheel base , quicker turn in. there was that awful dive in the front end but stiffer springs can be added. i think matt has this issue currently.
They've got these bikes in at District Ducati near DC and the nice lady there has contacted me a couple of times to come over for a test ride. I have a feeling that I might seriously fall for this bike so for now I've declined. I think I'll wait until it's been out a year or so and revisit but this is the first bike that's come along in several years that might get me off my 1200GS.
I saw the Duc at the local european multibrand shop and have to admit it really caught my attention. I just watched the youtube video and came away even more impressed. Mind you that my sentiments are coming from a BMW fan and GSA fanboy. I'm really liking those long service intervals, too.
