    R1200GS K25 2008 Brake Issues

I've been having issues with the brakes.
The lever goes all the way to the handle, and I have to pump it.
When I pump it, the ABS pump goes crazy and pushes the lever out against all the force I can give it.
The ABS in the end fails to act and the front wheel skids.

    Background:
out of the blue, the Motronic made a poping noise and died.
I didn't know this (out of the myriad of noises the bike makes), and I thought the antenna ring was the culprit.
Bought a new antenna ring, and I figured out it was the Motronic.
Couldn't find a place to fix it, so I bought another one with keys, of the exact part number.

The bike started, but a few things were out of sync:
    - Kilometers of course. Mine has 52K+ kms and the new Motronic has only 9K kms. The kilometers flash on the dash.
    - ABS Vendor: I can't verify this for sure, but my old Motronic had "value 02" and the new one had "value 03". Changed it to "Value 02".
    - ASC : now is not working. The ASC symbol stays on the Kombi.
    - The issue with the brakes.

I thought with the brakes, that the issue was air in the system. But I purged the system, including the ABS procedure three times.
Then I decided to replace the brake master cylinder, with another one I had, that I know is good.
Same issue. I did purge it at least three times, (doing the ABS and three purges, on each ocasion). So, 9 times and half a liter or DOT4.

Any pointers here would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, if I turn off the bike, and break with the ABS pump off, the brakes are still weak.

    Thanks
