The market in India is mostly 125cc and scooters, wonder what the point of this is.
Unless they plan on selling small bikes with the Norton badge in the UK will boost
    sales.

Good news, I suppose, keeping the marque alive... I can't imagine high quality, large displacement sport bikes being produced in India, but I'll hope for the best.

I read a little more in depth article on Norton the other day. They have a shit ton of debt and were in "administration", which is bankruptcy for us. Their top end sport bike is nice looking though but I don't think any have been sold.

I wish Norton luck. Another entry into the sportbike market is good in my mind.

It will be interesting to see if a financially strong company like TVS can breathe life into the Norton brand. Some of my fondest early memories was riding a friend's 1969 750 Commando S, in bright yellow, with high pipes that would fry your leg if you weren't paying attention. For its day it was a very fast motorcycle, with drum brakes front and rear that didn't stop worth a damn.

A Norton is what ratcheted my interest in motorcycling sometime in the Fall of '70. I still have a soft spot for them and hope one day to own one.
