    Zero Electric Motorcycles

I have an interest in electric motorcycle (and cars). Last years I picked up seven Vectrix scooters from my local dealer (Vectrix went bankrupt and he was stuck with them, made me a deal I could not refuse). They were old technology, but I did learn allot. Sold them and made a little money.

The next ride was the FXS a Super Moto style bike. With smaller battery and less power. 2019 Zero FXS ZF7.2

Quick. Mean. Compact. With precise handling and blistering acceleration, the Zero FXS stealthily shreds any urban slalom or conquers your local track with tarmac carving fierceness. Combining off road ruggedness with on-road agility, the Zero FXS is the ultimate way to cut through the concrete jungle.

The DSR was my favorite. It was an adventure style bike, like a GS. It had a larger battery and more powerful motor, Longer travel suspension, hand guards and a windshield. It was in sport mode when I rode it. I hug in the back of the group so I could try some burnouts with it at the stop signs, easily done. This also had the sponge rear brake. But it was lively and fun to ride. I like it the best. 2019 Zero DSR ZF14.4

The DSR would be my choice but at $16,500 and with the upgraded charger and would be over $17,000. They would give me $2000 of if I could wait and buy the demo in September. Range was around 125 charge time with bigger class two charger could be reduced to three hours

The Dealer was Mt. Holly Motorsports proudly serves VincentownVery nice people.

I do not have enough money in my secret squire account now to get the DSR and I do not want to trade my S1000XR or K1600GTL either. So I will save a little more and see what happens this September.

I'm interested in electrics too Furman. If you haven't already, look at the Lightning Strike. Pretty good range and they have a DC Fast charge option. 100 mile charge in 20 minutes. Nice look as well. We've been looking at some diesel electric, hybrid and electric options for ferry re powers. Interesting times, depends on how badly you want to be green. Thanks for the reviews.

I'm not particularly interested in electric transportation, car or bike, but did see an electric bike at the last IMS show made by Energica, that looked good. They only had their Ego street & race bikes on display & it looks like they've added a streetfighter & urban style bike to their lineup.
