Replacing BMSK with BMSK-P

My 2006 K1200R has a BMSK. The fueling is very jerky.
Also have a 2007 K1200S, and the fueling is very smooth. The K12S has a BMSK-P. Which, even if it didn't come from the factory, you can program traction control. I did it, and it works, using MotoScan.

So, I wanted to check if swapping BMSKs would help.
But, the BMSK is coded to a key.
Found out that GS-911 has a feature that allows you to add a new key, to an old know key.
So, I bought me a BMSKP from a K13R and it's coming soon. Including the key.

Has anyone done this? Or used the GS-911 BMSK Key Function?

Sorry about that, the BMSK is the Motronic Unit. The Engine ECU.

I bought a BMSK-P and Key combo from a K1300R. We'll see what it gets here.

It cannot be done. The BMSKP (Motronic) wants a KNOWN Disabled Key, that you want to RE-ENABLE, not an UNKNOWN key you want to Enable.

I ended up just taking the transponder from the new BMSKP and put it in my old key.

For reference, my K12R:

• Engine: K12S
• Kombi: K13R
• ZFE: K13R
• Motronic: K13GT
• Swingarm and Diff: K13GT
• Gearbox: Dovetailed original Gearbox
• Wheels: forged K13S

I also have a fully original, non modified (other than paint) K12S.

But this is my Frankenstein, forever bike.
