This from my daughter Anjali. She is in Memphis, TN with her new friend and classmate who she shares an apartment with. Dad is so proud of his lil one. I post this here, even before I put it on my FB page, as yall have been part of her growing up and know her. She knows almost all of you deplorables here and asks about every one of you when I return from a "gathering".
Some updates about what I've been up to:
Yesterday, I started my first day at the
University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine
I am grateful to have this opportunity to pursue a career of lifelong service to my community and wouldn't be here if it were not for the combined efforts of my family, friends, and Baylor professors.
Given the current state of the world, it was rather uncertain for a while if my class would have the opportunity to engage in in-person anatomy lab or other in-person simulation activities. But, with some thoughtful consideration, our wonderful administration and professors have been able to ensure our safety while also making it possible for us to fully understand the inner workings of the body.
Even in my limited contact with my classmates, I am incredibly humbled and honored to get to work with such passionate individuals and am looking forward to what these next 4 years have in store for me
