Road food/ foodie thread.

I know we are all foodies when it comes to ridin. We have fav joints with awesome food.
Post your fav road food and names of restaurants with pics.
This does not mean just where you ate on a ride, but awesome places to which you will ride to enjoy the same food again.
One of mine, the Dunlap restaurant, In Dunlap TN. Always, always have the Philly cheese steak with Jalapenos and fried okra. Absolutely delicious.

Another, in Las Cruces, NM. I have been to this place so many times for it.
Caliche's.
Nacho cheese with Jalapenos hot dog and a cheesecake frozen custard. On a hot day, it just satisfies the soul.

At your favorite gas station all through the south. Try the chicken gizzards & liver. I'll eat almost anything deep fat fried. Gas - Eat - Ride

I worked for Kraft foods for awhile.... I saw so much cheese curd.
I just don't see the attraction. Now gravy and french fries, YUM !!

I generally shy away from chain restaurants in my travels but there is one in particular that I never miss on any trip to the left coast - In N Out Burger. This Double-Double Animal Style off the "secret" menu there is guaranteed to induce a food coma:



It's probably a good thing that there's no In N Out burgers in the east or I'd be as big as my bike.

When we go to the Texas Hill Country our favorite breakfast place in the Chess Club on the south side of Blanco.
Wish they were also open at night.

Good pizza at Wood Boat Brewery across the street from the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY.

The breakfast looks really good... the boats just a little bit better. Nice pics.

Good place for breakfast or a sandwich. Homemade bread and pies. Cranberry Lake NY.



They have a little motel unit.

Found another gem in Dunlap, TN.
A taqueria called La Rancherita.
Busy as hell, and great Mex street food.
Morgan is my assistant and we both had the El Pastor and Chorizo tacos with chopped fresco Jalapenos, oninons and cilantro. Muah!

Went to Tavern on the James iin Scottsville, VA yesterday. This was Elizabeth's appetizer/meal. "The Alien". Potato skins, chile, jalapenos, bacon and more. Was really good as was the place.




Left there and went to a local brewerey. They were having their 6th anniversary celebration and we were the first ones to drink there that day. First time that's ever happened.

Is everyone here 20 something? I have a nice normal breakfast of eggs , grits or oatmeal,maybe bacon and a salad or something that doesn't sit on my stomach all day. OK, I'm almost 68 so my metabolism isn't what it use to be, but but I never had a big lunch on long day rides. Now at dinner time, I make up for it. Still need to watch the weight. But a southern restaurant serving chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, cornbread and peach cobbler, I'll eat my weight. I'm a sucker for cooking.

Here is a pic of the Philly cheesesteak from todays lunch. Boy it was good. They had a Hoff hot sauce which was delish. Right across the road on the TN river. Great food. will be going back. And the waitress was so cute.
