    PM sent to Tim Hudspeth

Hey Tim, I sent you a PM and need your help.

Michael slid the front wheel in a curve and went down April 11 and totally destroyed the K1200R Sport. The bike went off the road and down a 15 foot embankment, bouncing 3 times before coming to a stop. The only undamaged parts were the license plate and his BMW 100,000 mile award; they both broke off on the first bounce.

Michael had no broken bones, but skin loss and internal bruising. He has been out of work for the last 2 weeks, and hurting.
He is still trying to decide what to buy for a replacement.

Glad he is OK, hurting but OK.
He might like the S1000XR, Bert.

      I might like the S1000XR,
especially if I could find a factory lowered version.

Soupy's lowering links. Many have done this and is 100%.

Went to motorcycles of greensboro Tuesday to compare [and ride] the f900xr, f900r, and the s1000xr.
There was a 2016 in Deloniga, Ga. with bags and the BMW V GPS. The other option would have been a new F900.

The manager just got on consignment a 2019 all Black s1000xr with bags and snoopys lowering link and side stand. with 775 miles[ yea not a typo].

We brought it home the same day!!!!

I still need Another GPS, the one in the crash had the top and bottom mounting tabs broken off.
Any one have a dead zumo 660 or BMW V with a good back half of the case???

Oh, and Michael goes back to Work Monday, after 2 weeks medical leave and one weeks vacation.
Every thing is healed except the scabs and missing skin.

Still working on the insurance settlement.

I would also contact Garmin. Sometimes they will sell a refurbished unit at a greatly reduced price to replace a damaged one.

They no longer support or carry parts for the older units.
I swapped out a dead 550 for a refurbished years ago for $150. a good value. but not any longer.

I think the small USPS flat rate box costs a little under $9 and he rounded to $9 to keep it simple.

Was he wearing full gear? Insurance will pay for that as well.
