My '06 K1200S is completing it's 14th season of service. It's had a few issues during it's time but overall it has been a great bike!
Out for a ride Friday here in the Baltimore area. The weather has been rain free for over 7 weeks and it's beginning to take it's
tole but has made for some incredible riding and scenery. Riding the S again reminds me again why I haven't replaced it. The
personality of the in-line four is so different from that of the boxer twin in my lc GS. So smooth and stable, not that the GS isn't,
it's just different. Looking forward to the fall colors that are starting to show up along with the cooler temps and the changing
light that comes with fall. Cheers to all and thanks for sharing your stories and pics of the rallies that I have missed.

I know. My 09 K1300S has 120,000 miles now and is just sweet. I love that bike. Of course it eats parts but what the heck. Cheaper than a Porsche (not as dry). I go out and open it up once and a while and am always surprised at the comfort and nasty good speed. bb

Taking my 2016 K1300HP out with friends today for a spin. Today is supposed to be almost 65 F here in Louisville. First ride since installing full Akra exhaust, PC5 and dyno tuning. should be fun.

I sold my 2007 K1200S tricolor last year with 75,000+ miles on it. The bike was great. The new owner thinks it's great. Smooth power even if I was slow.

It's good to hear of high mileage BMWs and thank for sharing Guys. I put 81k miles on a '94 BMW R100 GS/PD and 93k miles on a '99 BMW R1100S. I hope my '11 BMW K1300S has many miles left for me because it's so much fun to ride and nothing else appeals to me like this one!

It will need a suspension upgrade. I had an Ohlins on the rear of GS/PD and Wilbers on both ends of the R1100S...the K1300S OE ESA is marginal in comparison. Charlie shared with me that there's an outfit that can upgrade the OE ESA and I will go for that when the time comes.

I have Wilbers on my K12S & love them. Back when I made the change from the factory ESA, there was no one that could rebuild them, but since then, EPM Performance Imports now performs that service. I kept my old ESA shocks & am considering having them rebuilt to swap them out with the Wilbers when it's time to get them rebuilt. Pricing for this service seems reasonable & they use high quality replacement parts by Hyperpro & Wilbers.

I think I'm about to send EPM mine. Got almost 40k on them so I'm sure they can use some work. Still have the box they sent my Hyperpros in for my old KRS. Hope they fit.
