The day it forgot to rain on mainland Australia ....

    Seriously.

11 November 2019 - the first day in the history of mainland Australia where it simply forgot to rain ....

That's 2,932,578 square miles and about 1.5% of the Earth's surface without a single drop.

Gawd knows that they NEED soaking rain on the east coast to dampen horrific fires.

That's really messed up. I think there should be some rain dancers out there doing their magic for you.

It is odd to have no words yet to also not be surprised by that.

I'm sorry for the situation. Things are changing. I was reading about one fire entering the suburbs of Sydney. Yikes. What a horrible situation for all those folks. (animals too!)

Smelling smoke and especially seeing ash in the air means it's time to evacuate, if not sooner, if you don't have active information on the fires locations and movements.
