In Australia, no one uses this word, but I did once see a fat guy on a Harley with a black t-shirt with BADASS on it in big white letters. I assumed he had haemorrhoids.

In my vocabulary, the term badass is usually followed with a MF'er. "That's one badass MF'er" is common usage and can be referring to any noun. Chuck Norris is a badass MF'er, that bike is a badass MF'er, the ass on that woman is a badass MF'er, and so on. Also, the term badass can have several variants such as badassery.
