HOW TO WEAR EARPHONES (NOT EARBUDS) WHEN RIDING

This hack keeps them from falling out. And allows use of wired earphones that permit ambient sounds to be heard. Earbuds can block all ambient sounds (farm dogs; semi's; etc). The wires go under the helmet straps, so put them on before putting on your helmet and sunglasses.

This hack may also work under a motorcycle helmet. Don't know.

I appreciate that some people really like having headphones for their bike rides - both pedal bikes and motorcycles. But, I am just not one of them. This hack will not be one I need.

NOW, if you have a hack that keeps my stupid glasses from sliding down my sweaty nose, or keeps my glasses mirror properly position, THAT would be useful! LOL
      Thanks, Wildbears.

      Smith & Wesson Shooting Glasses....

These have a slip-resistant-nose pad(s), adjustable and curved temples, and a high region above the nose notch. The latter keeps the line of sight covered when leaned over on the drops. The temples can be adjusted to keep the glasses in position.

They come in various tints...yellow/amber shown.

Thanks, Wildbears. I had forgotten all about these once I needed prescription glasses for my long vision.

Really nice video, Wildbears. I am fascinated by recumbents and streamliners, no matter how odd they are. I have ridden a couple of recumbents and found it unsettling. But man, the aero advantages are undeniable..

Stage 15 was interesting today, too. Looks like Remco has it. Shows what one bad day can do to you in a Grand Tour.

The final week of the la Vuelta coming up, is not difficult enough to be all that interesting, and no one will be able to dislodge Remco without some crazy stuff happening on the road.

That would be too bad. Some of the guys who left, really just had false positives. I am SO DONE with this shit. "Follow the science" has certainly become an empty mantra.

Wildbears! What were you thinking, trying to jump a curb? Mountain bike or road bike?

Wonder how Roglic will do today after his last crash. I'd like to see him get his 4th in a row Vuelta.

Stage 16 near finish with Roglic (white shoes, yellow bike) hitting Wright (red jersey) and then the pavement:

Damn. I watched this. I'm a huge Roglic fanboy. He was showing great form. He is a terrific bike racer, but this was his fault. I think he just either did not see Wright, or totally forgot that he was there. He and Enrique Mas could have double-teamed Remco today. I thinkRemco would still win the overall, but they would have made a race of it. Remco just sat on the wheel today and had an easy time of it at the line.

Tyson, While high in the dork factor these work perfectly.

Pete, I use a simple little mirror that mounts to my glasses. It's weird to use the first few rides, but now I use it easily. It's second nature. In fact, when I am on a run, I find myself trying to use it, even though it could never be used on a run. (Too much movement.)

Pete, what kind of bike is that? It's Bianchi celeste (almost) but is seemingly an "off" brand. :LOL
