    SENA X1S Bicycle lid!

Received my SENA X1S lid and paired with my Android fast and easy. Lid is light and comfy. Sound quality excellent from its two built in speakers. During tomorrows ride, I'll have the wife call me and will report on the quality of that at a later date. I believe I'm going to like this lid!

Flyboy, do you use a mirror, or is this just for off-road or gravel?

I blow my horn when approaching bicyclist, assuming that they are listening
to music and can't hear me. I've had them swing way out in front of me to
      pass another rider.

The price of the Sena helmets is fairly cheap.
I like the looks of the R1 EVO with built in taillight.
Too bad it does not have a MIPS liner.

You funny! A car hit my flag today while riding and took off....I captured the sound of impact and his license plate....he initially braked, but then sped off....I have it all on video.

Ok, wife called me while on the ride. Voice quality was excellent in and out....helmet was very comfortable and the music sound a bit tinny, but beats ear buds. I highly recommend this Sena unit to any avid rider....

Just got the Bontrager Specter WaveCel helmet.

Magnet guided chin-strap buckle; back of head "brace" is adjustable for height and tightness.

Different tech than the MIPS on my previous Bell.

Looks to be better for impact and torsion.

At my current crash rate, it should be tested within a year.

Anyone have some suggestions for bicycling shoes with wide toe boxes?

                  TESTED! BONTRAGER SPECTER WAVECELL

Hit the pavement earlier this week.

Went down on my right side and banged the right side of the helmet.

Impact did not seem as bad as expected.

The helmet has a one year crash warranty so will be replacing shortly for no charge.

A number of motorcycle crashes at speeds from slow to very fast. I've never touched down or scratched a helmet.
On the other hand, it seems every mishap on the bicycle leads to a smashed helmet! There must be some explanation that accounts for the higher riding position on a bicycle and the fact that sometimes you have your feet clipped in.
