      So riding without a helmet can increase the rider's fatally risk by 20-30%.

        I think Missouri no longer has a helmet law.

          I think its all cause mortality. And a lawyers view of it. So take it with a fistfull of salt.

            The states with helmet laws appear to have high or extremely high fatality rates. Could wearing a helmet give a false sense of safety when riding at higher speeds? Florida, Texas and California have roads which entice fast riding. Spent a couple of weeks in Florida in early December and was blown away with the demolition derby driving styles of the cagers. Not good for motorcyclist wanting to live a long life! I am also surprised at the number of no helmet law states.
