    New Dunlop Street Tires

Dunlop has a new street tire. It has the very rare center thread groove.
It might be noisy but I can't hear tire noise with poor hearing and ear plugs.

Those tread blocks look like they would cup quickly but I do like the center groove. I got a call from GOAZ BMW in Scottsdale Arizona last night saying that the Michelin Road 5 GT was discontinued for the 190/55/17 size. Weird, but since I actually like the PR4 better it's no big deal.

looks kinda like the Anakee adv tread. But the center is certainly different.

I thought it was a dual sport tire.

I would trust the PR4 rear more than the Road 5 on a wet curvy road.
I agree cupping might be a problem on the Mutant.

Interesting, but at this point, I'm pretty well sold on running the Dunlop Q3+ tires. You won't get 12k out of them unless you are RedTail, but damned great connection to the pavement.

Awesome tires for grip and once you get on board with the fact that tires are disposable the shorter life is worth the trade off.

Back to Lee's original post regarding the Mutant Dunlops:

The tread pattern resembles closely the pattern used on some Carlisle Tires I used eons ago on my SOHC CB-750. I liked them and used them a couple of times until they became hard to find. I don't remember them cupping. I remember exactly the week I went to Continental K-111's. The week before Easter 1973.
