    Vanity plates.

Finally gave up my "AVATR" license plate today. Had it for soooo many years. 60$ was a tad too much compare to regular 24$.
Went with a combat vet plate like all my vehicles that I drive.

I've never had one, too easy for someone to remember. Last I checked
they were an extra $50 here in VT, per year !

Yeah Mike, that was the only special plate I had in my life so far. Some how did not care for it anymore.

I've reported that vanity name before. Probably do it again.

I have a VET plate now though. It's free from DMV
We can get this in Vanity also but I think it has ti start in a "V"

Anybody can BUY a stupid vanity plate. But, to get a VET PLATE, you have to EARN it. To all you guys who have earned one, Thank You!

^^^ this. It finally dawned on me.
Have been eligible for it since 2004 and over and over again since.

I've never really understood the paranoia regarding personalized plates or even showing a plate in photos... its's not like a license plate isn't seen by thousands of people while we ride. So anyway, I finally decided to go for it with both bikes.

I dont think in TN you can get a vanity'd veteran plate. They are serial numbered.
Got em for my 3 bikes, and car. The sprinter is commercial and belongs to my practice.

In Iowa we pay $5 extra each year on our bike vanity plates.
Total cost each year is $25 and that drops to $15 next year.

I know a guy that had several through the years, but one seemed to garner more comments than the others...

I have had ME262 since 1998 for my K bikes, but this past plate renewal cycle I noticed the state wants 45$ for nothing. I guess it is done next time. Though I wanted to put ME163 on my S bike. Christ I've spend 45$ for a dinner I did not like way more than once, what the hell.

I have heard of it Joe but it wouldn't come to mind looking at a motorcycle plate.

Had a guy here with a LT. The plate read BIGFE..... I'd rather not have to think
                    about it or Google.

The ME262 would not be BMJ's choice. That's for sure! A hopped up ME163 is way more his style. Swoosh!!!!!!!
