    A change to the stable...

So, a few weeks back, I was sharing with Joe that I think maybe it was time to retire "Old Yeller". She's been a great bike, but with me wringing her out all her life, 50k now on the clock, it just seemed like her best days were probably behind her. But what, what bike would fill the gap of my much beloved VFR? I've toyed with the idea of an Aprilia Tuono as I think that they are sexy as hell, but I also have a healthy fear of one landing me in prison.

As I pondered that question, I told Joe that maybe the only thing that could replace a VFR, is another VFR. Joe nearly had a massive hemorrhage of the brain, and called me some names that I can not say in public.

Alright, alright, I get it, time marches on, it's 2021, so what did I buy?

Two more VFR's... because the only thing better than ONE VFR, is THREE VFR's... ah ah ah ah... yes, I'm sick.

Honestly, I was happy to buy these bikes. A bit of a sad story as the previous owner (obviously also a VFR enthusiast himself) began having health issues a little over two years ago. He finally accepted the realization that his riding days were over after having the bikes on ice for 2+ years before listing them for sale. It was a sad day for him to be sure, but it made me feel a little bit better when I sent him one of the below pictures upon returning home, and he replied, "Wow, that's a great picture. I am glad they are with you!"

My 1995 VFR. Two years, 30k miles (stock photo). I had the same aftermarket Corbin seat with the red piping. That seat was rock hard!

Thanks Y'all... not that I'm not happy to own three of them, but now it's time to implement phase 2 of the plan and get them kiddo's out there with me on their own.

My son has been riding, sort of, he is currently trying the cruiser thang. I left him ride my bike one day last year and he seemed to really like it. I offered it to him again later, and he told me that he couldn't, that he was nervous riding it because he knew how much I love that little yellow thing.

My eldest daughter has expressed interest, but we need to further her training in the dirt first, and sadly boys seem to have her attention.

Right, these are old, slow, ponderous 95 hp HONDA's!

If you're referring to Abby on a bike, the boys will be in her mirrors. Just trying to help.
