    2022 June Puzzler Part B

So a motorcycle (or bicycle) can travel in a straight line when leaned to one side.

Part B: How can this be used to prevent a crash?

    #2
    Riding Close to the Curb

This maneuver may be of help when you need to ride close to a curb.

When upright, the front tire of the bike needs to first go to the right before turning to the left.

If you have limited pavement along the right side of the road, for example, due to a raised curb or a sharp drop off, and you need to ride close to this, this technique may allow an easy pull over away from the side of the road when ready.

This is more often a bicycle issue than a motorcycle one.

Warning: You should practice this before using it on the road.
