250cc to 400cc

While I'm having a blast cruising through the mountains of Mexico on my 250 CRF L and really enjoying the light weight I definitely could use some more HP.. The KTM 390 and the 400 Ninja look very interesting.. I don't necessarily need a dual sport bike. In fact a small full faring bike could be fun. In some situations I'm finding the ground a long ways away. Reality is I am riding 90% on pavement.
Any of you guys own one of those or something similar? Would love to hear your comments..

One of the guys where I used to work does track days and instructs at NC Bike. He was trying to get me to get a Ninja 400 and track it. He spoke highly of it as Joe said.

Having raced RD-250's and RD-350's "back in the day" at Willow, Riverside, Ontario and Orange County, I am confident these new 400's would make great track bikes. We're all probably a bit heavier than my "race weight" 50 years ago, but these new bikes are so much more sophisticated they will more than make up for it.
