    K1300S Replacement

We'll, like a lot of you, I sold my k bike and now have a flat twin. In my case it's a r1200rs. I love the bike and plan to keep it indefinitely. However, I have to admit that I miss the torque and horsepower of the k. I don't really keep up with the new bikes on the market so I'll ask: what do you think are the best bikes that are similar to the k? I.e., if you were going to buy a k type bike, what would be the contenders?

The Kawasaki is one hell of a machine. Infinite power, but heavier than the k.

Possibly the new Suzuki 1000GT. The FJR is too heavy. Not a lot to pick from out there. Click image for larger version Name:	S4KDN4OMEVGLTL3UMNS7FVLOMI.jpg Views:	1 Size:	178.6 KB ID:	41999

I had an earlier sport version of this bike...the gsx s1000f. Really fun bike, but Suzuki didn't have the fueling right. The throttle was extremely sensitive. Either completely off or rip your head off. I hear they got that issue resolved. The GT could be the light weight modern k. Good looking bike.

I sometimes regret selling the k. But honestly I don't have many riding years left so it was time to try something new, different. Whether I find something that moves me like the k or the 74 Norton is anyones guess.

ID:	42014 I totally understand that, my brother is getting up there and is having a hard time with accepting father time, he purchased a can am, so far thats at least keeping him somewhat satisfied as he's coming to realize theres not much time left to ride. my brothers been one of those guys that would wake up one morning and just say screw it, jump on his bike and take off for a two week bike trip! a couple weeks ago we went on a little trip to eureka springs. heres a shot with big brother showing little brother how the controls work on his can am? maybe consider a can am??? Looks like fun, but my balance is still pretty good. Due partially that I still road and Mtn bike, hike and ski. I think there is still one more sport bike in my future.
