I can't even imagine the extent of the damage.
There's going to be a lot of displaced snowbirds. On an RV site
they are bitching because their seasonal campsites are being
taken by essential workers. They're trying to get sites in other
states and coming up empty. It's a good time to own a camp
ground in the south....
When I was in Bandera, TX last spring I checked out some
places in The Hill Country area to winter. Most were dusty and
in the sun.
I don't think that today with the popularity of RVing, you can just
leave without a plan and reservations.

As some may know, I worked for the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District for about a decade. I have been in contact with several of my coworkers from that time and the extent of the devastation is overwhelming. From early estimates, they believe 40 to 50% of all the structures on the island are destroyed. Fire Station 33 experienced a 20' storm surge. When the storm was over, the Fire Chief was the first one to cross the bridge and found two deceased people in the middle of what was once the roadway. The Urban Search and Rescue teams have just now been released and the island has been turned back over to the local government (the Fire Department and Sheriff's office control everything until they release operations back to the municipal government).
40 - 50% of all structures are destroyed. Think about that.
