The passing of Ray Hazel (razel)

I have recently found out about the passing of Ray Hazel, aka Razel. I met Ray in person in Texas over a decade ago. He was very active on the iBMW forum and several others over the years but his health had been in steady decline for the last few. He was a great guy, funny to be around, and interesting as can be. Godspeed Ray!

    Ray and his gang affiliations!

Please feel free to post pics and tell tales. I can think of a Muddy1 excursion but I will leave that to her.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Ray in person.
I loved the picture of him on the bike with the kids......

            Ray Hazel,
I received a call from Ray's Daughter asking me to come by and visit with him for a few, as we continued to chat she brought up that Ray's doctor gave him 2 weeks at that point i went to visit Ray on Wednesday a few days before he passed. While I was visiting Ray his voice was very whispery then I notice his right leg from knee down had been amputated that's when it really hit me we are going to lose a great friend and father to his daughter's Sara and Erin the two that been taken care of Ray.
If im not mistaken it was Diabetes that took your life last Friday. Going to very much miss a great friend

He was the first person I was in contact with on the original K bike site. Then I met him in Texas. He gave me a ride to the guy's house on top of the hill in a BMW SUV. Scared the shit out of me with his fast driving. Super nice guy.
                RIP Ray.

From the '07 THC. How many people does it take to determine that the tire's flat because it was run down to the threads?

Ray was a good guy. I remember some of our discussions while sitting in front of the Creekside Lodge in Markleeville during SGR.

I'll bet he did a recon run through Heaven on his K-bike before settling in.
