Are you camping? I haven't decided if I'll go yet.

Well, crap. I should have waited until this year to upgrade my riding gear. (bought new BMW branded jacket and pants last August)

It's a shame that none of the BMW apparel won't fit Tim length-wise. After losing around 25 pounds, his current Klim jacket and pants are a bit baggy.

Tim lost 25 lbs the hard way. But, that's equal to about $5,000.00 worth of carbon-fiber farkles on the K1300 that he won't have to buy now.

Good excuse for new gear although your current gear is fairly new.
We have both BMW and Klim and think the Klim is a little better. Most of the BMW gear does not use Goretex and prefer Goretex over other waterproof breathable material for longevity.

Yes, Tyson, and cutting down on eating out has contributed quite a bit. I've lost about 10 lbs and I didn't have the surgery.
We love our Klims, Lee, because they do it all.

Most of the gear no longer has the removable liners. Like you I thought the removable liners were a bad idea, especially for pants.
In 2003 We got free BMW jackets with our K1200RSs. Debbie only used hers one trip and sold it because she hated dealing with the liner. I kept mine longer but just used it for day rides.

Got ride of mine for that reason. The outer shell would be wet and heavy....
Needing to deal with it on a trip was a PITA. Now using KLIM.
