Because it's on the way to Idaho, we're already planning to attend. Have already spoken to the motel folks.

Not sure what's up for next year but I think we'll reserve a motel later next month when I can do it online.
Best Western and Comfort Suites look good with restaurants close by.
Super 8 looks so so but it's only a 1/2 mile walk to the rally site.

We're wondering if a rally discount will be offered to attendees. I imagine all the area motels getting calls in the next few weeks. Tim was checking rates (Hampton $300 and up, Comfort Inn was around 150+.
Super 8 was cheaper at 103. and closer to the venue, and it may very well be a dive, but we'll know more later. So not sure at this time where we will be staying.ain't skeeredComment

The roads in the area are spectacular. Eastern Oregon is great. Most local roads are posted 55 but you will not get stopped going under 70 generally. Prineville, about 10 miles east has motels, Bend 25 miles south too with a big brewery scene. The Redmond motels will fill up. It can be warm with the way things are going. But June is much better than July. Rides out East are wonderful. Maupin to the west has camping in the city park and motels to stay before or after. Find Hwy 218 between Fossil and Antelope and you will have serious good time along with hwy 380 between Prineville and Hwy 395. The best roads in Washington are in Oregon! Well almost. Be sure to cut loose at least a week to explore the NW. If your a GS rider you are in luck. Oregon labels all forest service roads. Most cafes have a state produced motorcycle road map of the state. They want you here. But... do not get pulled over going over 100, bike seized and you too.Comment
