Did you know that the mid-grade is a mixture of the other two that's blended at the pump?

You get 4 more octane points by spending $.50 per gallon more going from 89 to 93 octane. Your extra $.50 per gallon only gets you two octane points foing from the low grade to the 89 octane mid-grade. Do the math indeed!

Was about $8 in Portugal and Switzerland. We don't realize how good we have it.

People who can afford to go to Portugal or Switzerland to goof around don't even care about the price of "petrol." Especially if they are race fans.

          Googled it. 3.785 litres per gallon = 3.785 x $2.20 = $8.33 per gallon.

          What do I win?

Some interesting (or not) notes on gas, JB's octane rating is likely RON, since that's used by most of the world. If you've read your BMW owners manual you know that. So Australia's (and the world's) 98 RON is equivalent to 93.5 octane using the octane rating that we use in the US. Also converting if JB hasn't already done it makes $8.33 in AUSD $5.35 in USD. Doing the whole apples to apples thing. I think here 93 octane is about $4 a gallon. So there you go, my wise ass know it all take on gas prices. And in reality who gives a shit what gas costs filling up a motorcycle 3 gallons at a time. If you bought the BMW, Ducati, Triumph, etc. you can likely afford 3 gallons of gas. Wholeheartedly agree with JB's comment about bang for the buck. I've always thought that owning a bike (k1300) that will do 165 MPH and gets 45 MPG most of the time is just crazy good.

You had to go and get all technical didn't you. Unlike when I caught you on the wrong side at an intersection without a care in the world

What you are alluding to is like staring at another man's junk. It's okay unless you get caught. Wes does both and since he was only caught at that intersection he cannot be considered gay. Yet.
