Public Service Announcement! Schuberths On Sale

Revzilla has Schuberth C3 Pros on sale for $399. In solid colors and some subdued graphics. Pretty good deal at 35% off list. I bought one.

I'm surprised there's any still in stock. The C4 came out 8 years ago.
Looks like Cycle Gear and J&P Cycle also has a few of the solid colors for $400.

Lee, mine arrived yesterday. According to the tag sewn into the helmet, the date of manufacture was March, 2022. The box it came in was a little dusty. I'm thinking they made this helmet for markets other than the US after they stopped importing it here.

It is really comfortable. I haven't ridden with it yet, but I'm betting it is really quiet. So far, I'm pleased.

I have one now and like it.
Never have one without the pinlock again.
Not sure I need to get another one yet though.

Mike, what's the attraction to the pinlock? I rode a couple of hours today, and I thought that my vision was less focused through the pinlock part. The rest of the shield is solid, so what good is the pinlock?

The pinlock helps to prevent fogging on cold mornings. Debbie tells me it's better to just wait until it warms up before we ride
Make sure the pinlock stays sealed. I have trouble with mine getting loose then dust gets between the 2 layers.
I also don't like the drop down shield. Too many layers of plastic to look through. Face shield, pinlock, drop down tint shield and glasses.
I also don't like the drop down tint shield if I'm riding in wooded areas with deer. For me it messes with the contrast making it harder to spot deer in the brush.

Thanks, guys. I may keep the pinlock and clear shield in the tank bag. I've been using Never Fog or something like it on the inside of my shields for quite a while, and, Luddite that I am, I may continue to do it that way. I need to play with it some more.
