KTM has declared bankruptcy. They have debts of 2 billion dollars, and they have 300,000 motorcycles in warehouses. They kept producing bikes (especially high dollar bikes) when their sales numbers dropped. If you want a KTM, this is about to be the time..

KTM's are great bikes. Although improving, the quality of their dealer network is questionable. Most dealers are/were primarily dirtbike guys that now have to deal with the twins and race bikes. Around here that would make me have questions about service if there were an issue that I couldn't fix myself. This problem also impacts Husqvarna.
There have also been reports that Lewis Hamilton (a great MotoGP and 2wheel fan) is interested in investing in a company reorganization.
