    First ride ...

Due to various reasons , and extremely shitty weather , I only started my riding season yesterday !
No ride report yet , it will come later , but let me tell you it felt great !!!
Only 30-40 miles , but I'm already in love with my R1300GSA .

More pics on my next ride ...

Martin posted up on Facebook in French about his first ride, but the English translation came out as "First wrinkle of the season". Well done MD

I want to hear details about the self-lowering system. If you have it on that bike

        Hi Beaver Man ,

Mostly sealed roads , but I remember two times I did unsealed roads , once was a 125km detour right after the Nullarbor , and the time I nearly got lost on a dirt road in Queensland when I was at Captain Howdy's daughter's place . And let's not forget that short bit on the Nang Hwy ! But there is a lot of places you could ride unsealed , so a GSA will be good in these conditions ...

Martin, it seems almost every tester has commented about how nice the motor, transmission and suspension all feel.

Looks like a great day for a ride Martin. If it ever stops raining here maybe I can get out for one!

          Because an RR won't fit......

We went into our local dealer on Good Friday to see if they had new rotors. Yep, sure did. It has every package except self-lowering and electric windscreen. There was an earthquake a few days later.

Bill, The Sport package came with Karoo 4's. I'm going to try Dunlop Mission tires next.

You probably would need self rising.

Are you going to keep the other K1300S you recently bought?

No. That's what prompted the GS purchase. We went to our dealer and while they are looking for front rotors (not the only very hard to find item) Susan was walking around and said, "Take a look at this." We traded the 2014 K1300S back in and that was that.

p.s. We still have the 2016.
