    Odds & Ends

We have a 2012 Honda Odyssey that serves as a mini RV and all purpose hauler. There is a bed platform in the back that is expanded when the rear seats are folded down. As a hauler, it's always fun to watch the faces of the construction truck drivers at the Lowe's parking lot as I load lumber into the van, whether it's a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood or this 12 foot long, 4 x 4.

The 2008 Equinox I had, the front passenger seat would fold flat. That was great for hauling long items.
I was disappointed my 2018 did not have that option. I also noticed the 2025 and 2026 does not have that option.

.Wildbears, my friends and I have vans. We call them ManVans. Mine is a Dodge and the seats fold down so well and completely. I use mine like you, I can get about 8 regular size square bales in mine without trying to hard. Two bikes no problem!

I'm trailer poor.... 12' galvanized dump, 12' V-nose enclosed, 10' aluminum landscape, small one for
the ADK Guide Boat and the camper. I guess you could call the Nifty 50 man lift a trailer too.
I have a hitch on the back of the tractor for moving them around.

That's why my favorite kind of trailer is a "borrowed one!"

Tyson, as you can imagine, they take up a lot of space.
Except for the man lift I don't get many request to "rent" one.
The more things you have the more time you spend maintaining
them. I don't have much free time.....!

Hippocrates and The Oriental Plane Tree on the Isle of Kos

I was going thru some of my old stuff and found my cutting from a descendant of the original Oriental Plane Tree on the isle of Kos. Hippocrates taught medicine under the original tree and cuttings have been used since then to propagate it with descendants living on medical university campuses around the world.

The most connected, direct descendant exists on the Isle of Kos and is about 500 years old.

Unfortunately my cutting dried out before propagation.

The first pic is the 500 year old descendant on the Isle of Kos and the second is my cutting from 50 years ago.
