"It is 85 seconds to midnight."
The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists have updated the Doomsday Clock today.
The Doomsday Clock is a measure of how close humanity is to experiencing a global catastrophe or event of mass destruction.
At 1 minute and 25 seconds, it is now the closest that humanity has been to Doomsday since the clock was conceived in 1947.
The scientists who work on the clock take into consideration elements such as politics, diplomacy, climate science, weaponry, AI, and nuclear threat.

So when did they set the clock for 1 minute, the beginning? Was it at the start of human existence?

Just trying to decide how fast we should spend our 401k.....

And one Gama Ray blast would kill everything on the planet in an instant. You wouldn't even know it happened. And there is no protection, caves, etc.

Well that made my mind up for me... won't waste my money on a new R1300GS. Glad I don't wear a watch!
