I ordered some new Progrips for my k13s and I can't for the life of me get them to slide on. They are 7/8 in diameter and I think I should have ordered 1 inch diameter ones. I've replaced the grips on two other k bike without difficulty. If I need the 1 inch grips, does anyone have a recommendation for grip model?

What Diameter Grips?

If I recall correctly, I ordered two sets of grips. Most grip sets come in a 1" and a 7/8" pair. You will need two 1" grips. Once you get them, use the spray hair spray (think Aquanet) as lube to get them on and after it drys it holds like a mild adhesive. I could be wrong, it has been a while.Originally posted by Bobby View PostI ordered some new Progrips for my k13s and I can't for the life of me get them to slide on. Thanks for the tip, the throttle side grip on my R100RS gets loose in hot weather.Originally posted by justjoe View PostOnce you get them, use the spray hair spray (think Aquanet) as lube to get them on and after

I'm going off of memory, so I could be wrong. Most sets of grips you find in power sports stores have (1) 1" grip and (1) 7/8" grip for some strange reason. I think if you go to HD or buy the grips from an OEM outfit you get the matching set. I'm not exactly sure why but I think most brands have a larger grip for the throttle side. As I said, it's been a while.

Yeah, forgot they are different sizes. Just measured and they are indeed different. I was able to get the larger one one, but it was tight. Will have to order another set because the small one definitely will not fit on the other side.Originally posted by justjoe View Post
