You may remember me, I am the famous motorcycle mechanic who specializes in motorcycle maintenance. I am especially good at washing and cleaning my RED 955i Sprint ST, and putting gas in it. I think about the chain once in a great while and inspect the tires on a strict three year schedule whether they need it or not. Brakes? Really, who needs them?

My regular pillion is great company on the bike because we both wear full face helmets and I can't hear a word she says. Around the Gordon Motel fire-pit she is amiable and will find you a drink if she thinks you really need one. She's chipper at breakfast and only once in a while will comment on an especially sketchy cornering episode or missed apex. After 40 some years, she knows the limits.

Looking forward to the Arkansas Hillbilly in October. If you don't make it to Jasper, you are missing out on some relaxed fun and nonsense.

Thanks, Tim and Susan - and JJ! Looking forward to it. We reserved a room for all four nights. We didn't request any special amenities like heat, hot water, mirrors or chairs. Just a roof over our heads and some place to park the bike safely away from the fire-pit. The blanket women will have all the covers.

Ah yes... I remember that fateful night like it was only yesterday. Tyson & Cathy crashing our little party and the Hillbilly has never been the same. This year, I'll share a little known rally secret with everyone around the fire pit, unless we're banned from doing that this year. Seems like last year we lost a log or two out of the fire pit after everyone turned in on our last night & messed up a spot in the upper parking lot.



And now a question... will the Fillian's be staying with all us undesirables at the Gordon this year or will they ditch their hillbilly roots again & stay across the road in the de-luxe apartment in the sky like the Jefferson's?

Oh, they're sophisticates from Iowa. What do you think? BTW, this was indeed the fateful night when I did a U-turn on the CB-1100F and entered the unknown world of K-riders. Almost every bike was a K of one flavor or another.
