These last two are more "mainstream" for those sensitive among us. BTW, I've seen these bands live, several times. I might have been in a few mosh pits and fist fights at these shows.

I saw this band (Helmet) at a small venue in Orlando. It was so loud I couldn't hear for probably two days.

I saw this band (Tool) in the same venue. The band all looked like some preppy kids from very wealthy families. I was kicked in the head from some dude crowd surfing. It was one of the most intense mosh pits I have ever been in and I have been in a shitload.

If you don't know what a mosh pit is, check this video. Imagine a 17 yo me, fresh out of jump school, built like a pro football linebacker (6'3 245lbs, all muscle) going to Germany where this kind of activity was going off in the mid '80's.

A few years later, this was in vogue. Imagine that! LOL!!
