Many times when on a road trip you get forced to stay in an area that may be a little bit sketchy. Sometimes you feel better bringing her inside.

Never had that problem. No one would want to steal my bike due to the goofy colors I choose.

Back in the 70's the AMA race teams would rebuild engines in motel rooms - the bed would get lifted against the wall, and the engine built where the bed would be, job done, lower the bed over the mess left behind and check out as if nothing had happened.

I don't have a photo but I had to pull into a large motel 6 between Vallejo and Fairfield, California about 8 at night. Large place with driving all around the building. I was on the ground floor. About 1000hrs. I was sitting out front with a beer and a rent a cop walked buy slowly. I asked what's up. He said it gets pretty wild later and that I should move my bike inside. I did. And it also got crazy, cars cruising noise and of all things great looking girls! Never got invited to any action. The reason I road so far out of my friends home territory, Oakland... I had picked out a motel down the hill from his house earlier so I would not impose. MacAurther Blvd.. As I pulled into my original motel there were two LEO cruisers and a body covered in a sheet in the parking lot. Figured my motel was not taking check ins at the moment and headed north. You know how it is, see a great looking motel just as the exit goes by.

Years ago I was attending MotoGP at Laguna Seca and there was some dude taking his 600 CBR up to his room in one of the hotel elevators... I'm not sure how he managed to pull it off.

I brought my K1200S into a motel room once... it was a very tight fit through the door and as I recall, it was a lot trickier getting it back out.

Either I'm too afraid to even go to those areas.
Or, I prefer not to get myself into situations where
it may lead to a bad outcome.
