"Not entirely dissimilar from another Roberts, Kenny Roberts. But to set the record straight, there's no relation between Joe and the famous American Roberts racing clan."

Update: Roberts has secured pole position for the Moto2 race... 1st American to do so in nearly a decade. Now, hopefully, the Covid-19 hysteria won't f*ck up the Austin race!!

Exciting finish. I'll definitely be a Joe Roberts fan this year. He was at NJMP a few years ago visiting with the California Superbike School there. Code wrote about how his "no brakes" training was helpful in "going slow to go fast." And then Joe Roberts went out on a school S1000RR and lapped Thunderbolt, using no brakes at all, and recorded lap times within a few seconds of the MotoAmerica top riders racing there. The kid has skills.
