just booked my room for the daytona bike week, headed down there with my buddy, we’ll stop in nashville for some pre gaming first planning on the second week march 9th, plus bought my tickets for the daytona 200 on Saturday march 12th. First time for any of this for us, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately were driving on four wheels, living in Illinois the weathers not on our side, unless we have a global warming then we’ll RIDE!

I found some pix from 2003 and 2007, which was the last year for us. When we saw the herd of Harleys entering the interstate by coming down the Exit ramp, we pretty much wrote it off.
But if you're going, weather can be hot and cold, wet and dry. Unless things have changed in that time, and I doubt it, be prepared for lots of traffic, drunks, Harleys all over the place. There's Main Street, where everyone can go to be seen and going at a snail's pace. I believe Smokey's Best Damn Garage in Town shut down and that it burned down a few years ago. If you're a die hard, head for the Cabbage Patch. If you like to people-watch. this is a good place to do that.

- Illinois, one of the most corrupt democratic states of the country!
Susan,
thank you, that’s a start, When I talked to the guy at the hotel, he said and I quote: they take over the whole town, there everywhere, bikers that is!😂😂
I enjoy people, crowds used to really bother me, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to enjoy watching people, especially if there having a great time.

Tim and his brother used to go from the early 80s, just as a place to go to see the vendors and demo bikes. I went with him a few times later but just not my idea of a good time.
