Well it has been a long time coming, finally this Labor Day, Bill Morgan, Joe and Matt are heading up my way for a 3 day event. Now the pressure is on to make darn sure I can keep up with these guys. I can't tell you all how much I'm looking forward to this. Matt has ventured up here several times in the past few years and I have promised him for several years I would travel his way to attend some events, well I can finally say, I'm heading south boys.
I'm going to be meeting up with the same 3 amigos at Barber for a 3 day event, we are all locked and loaded for this so it is happening. If I don't do myself proud when they come up here I will have a few weeks to get in shape before meeting up in Alabama to redeem myself.
6 days of track time with these 3 guys is going to be awesome, one way or another no one at these events will have a better time than us.
Also I figure I should be in pretty good shape, I roll with the rule that these guys have to spot me 1 second for every year I'm older than them (that should help even the odds) and if by chance they come up on me, my second rule (no one can pass me).
Matt was up a few months ago and every session he would pass me in the same corner and put real distance on me. Sure he is faster than me, especially when he passes me in the one corner that the organizers stated each day at the rider meeting, was a no passing zone.
Now I'm working on borrowing one of 50 bikes or so that Matt owns to do a road trip down south as well, why buy a bike when I can help Matt exercise his fleet.
