    Are World Superbike machines fast?

    Eight of them at the opening round at Phillip Island were over 200 mph... Chaz Davies was fastest on the Ducati V4 Panigale at 205.2 mph...

    Got a crazy idea in my head I'd like to go to a race in Either Jerez or Portimao next year. WSB a lot cheaper. Rent a bike for a week + catch a race. So what would you do, WSBK in Jerez or Portimao, or Moto GP in Jerez? Anyone.

      Tough choice... you can't go wrong with either, although there is just something special about MotoGP...

      IIRC, when we went to the Indy Moto GP Races a few years ago, Riders were getting a few MPH over 200 on the front Straight...so the now the WSB Riders are just as fast, nice.

        Close, but several of the Ducati MotoGP bikes have been clocked at over 220 mph... Andrea Dovizioso was clocked at 356.5 kmh (221.55 mph) at Mugello. And from what I've read, the speed trap at Mugello is actually somewhat beyond their braking point, so the top speed was likely higher than recorded...
