We know people that have used newspaper and even towels stuffed in their jackets. My brother and I were at a south Georgia rest stop, still had frost on the grass, and a guy pulls in on a Honda Interceptor. The pretty white one, 1984 ish. My brother and I had just returned from teh bathroom where most of our time was spent with the hand dryer turned up and blowing inside our jackets. It was COLD !!! So the Interceptor guy dismounts and unplugs a wire, unzips his jacket and then zipped it back up. He said,"It's cold out here isn't it." or something like that. I can't remember exactly what he said but I vividly recall my reply, "What's that wire for?"Originally posted by 802Mike View PostI knew a guy that rode down from NY in the 40s. He said they shoved pieces of
cardboard inside their jackets to keep warm.
And voila, my intro to electric heating.
