The best riding in Washington State is in Oregon. A good West Coast rally is going to be held in John Day, Oregon this coming weekend. The riding around it is really good. Both dirt forest service roads and pavement are terrific. Events like Cowboy lunch held at a local ranch or the tour of the area lead by a knowledgeable US forest service ranger. All good stuff. Camping or motels. Walking distance to town for whatever you need. If you have not ridden from Fossil to Antelope on Hwy 218, you still have a treat left in life. It's one of those roads you just turn around and go back on. The area around Sumpter and Hwy 7 is a great ride in the other direction of the valley.
