If interested, the Yellville Turkey Trot is the 2nd weekend of October.

Hmmmm.... this may be the year. This past spring was too cold to go there.
Would have to trailer south again though.

I have not decided if we'll arrive Monday and Leave Friday or arrive Saturday and leave Friday.
If we arrive Saturday we can walk downtown for kettle-corn, Craft beer and music.
Not sure if I can come up with five routes but we can always take a day and do nothing.

I found last spring that walking around town was enjoyable. Visiting the
historical society, shops, meeting locals was very rewarding. It's nice to
have a down day.

A do nothing day isn't so bad, can be relaxing or boring. We rather enjoyed visiting the Turkey Trot, eating pizza and chatting with the towns people. I always pack a book and/or visit a bookstore if the town has one.

I called Ken to make a reservation. He didn't have a book out for 2023 and suggested I call in February.
He is trying to get his daughter Kimberly to do more of the office work so she may be the one taking reservations.
With everyone spooked about the economy he did not think the motel will sell in 2023.

Tim made our 2023 reservation with Kimberly on December 3rd.

If Kimberly had answered the phone she probably would have taken our reservation.
Without a 2023 book started I think Ken was afraid he would loose our reservation.

The single Queen rooms are $69.

Since you made the reservation in January you're probably ok, but I would double check.
Tim and Susan's reservation did not make it to the 2023 book and they had to call back this month to get it cleared up.

I saw on another site there's a guy who had a small motorcycle repair in Austin has recently moved to Oxford Arkansas.
Oxford is 35 miles east of Norfork.

Tyson and Cathy are "IN!". I have a meeting Monday night I can't miss, even for a motorcycle ride. We will be there by noon Tuesday the 16th. Staying through breakfast Saturday morning the 21st. Looking forward to seeing all you misfits and hooligans again soon.

BTW, the reservation person (Hope, not Kim this time) said we got the last room with a single queen-size bed.

BTW-A As Lee reported, Rooster already has his reservation, and is raring to go. He had some eye surgery on his bad eye. It was successful enough that we can all relax a bit when he is following us. (I had originally written ". . . when he is coming up behind us." But that wording gave me an image of Joe at night, so I re-wrote it.!)
