Well, it's that time of year again folks... time to start making plans to attend the AHR 2019!
As in years past, we will converge on the tiny hamlet of Jasper, AR where we will yet once again treat ourselves to the luxuriously deluxe accommodations of the Gordon Motel. In honor and celebration of our 13th year & marking it as a significant milestone, Mrs. Gordon assures me we that during our stay, we will enjoy all the conveniences and exclusive amenities usually afforded only to Third World heads of state, royalty and dignitaries, D-list & washed up Hollywood celebrities and gender questionable You Tube stars. Just take a moment and let that sink in... I'll leave it to your interpretation and fertile imagination but I'm sure you'll agree, it's special.
NW Arkansas is a beautiful part of the country and the roads rival some of the best there are. If you've attended in the past but haven't been in a few years, it's time to return to Jasper! If you've never attended, you owe it to yourself to get in a hillbilly frame of mind and join in the fun and see what it's all about. Just bring your party hat and a generous party 'tude', along with a low threshold of self-discipline, plus a high tolerance for cheap motel accommodations and you'll fit right in! And not that it needs to be said, but should you choose to attend the rally, please be aware that any display of mature, adult behavior in any shape, manner or form is frowned upon and will not be tolerated.
Hopefully, a collective prayer from all of us to the weather gods between now and October should help ensure we have great autumn weather with warm days and cool nights, surrounded by beautiful Fall colors. As usual, the fire pit stands ready & there will be parking lot blankets available for all our female fashionista attendees. And don't forget, Jasper is in a dry county, so bring your own hooch or get it in Harrison, 20 miles north of Jasper.
