With the limited turnout at the 2023 Non-Invitational, what do the hard core regulars think about taking it back to Tapoco? It is more expensive for sure, but food is onsite and the location cannot be beat. Maybe schedule it during the week to avoid the madness of the weekend? If you guys are good with this I will make the arrangements in the next few weeks. Let me know what you think.

Thank you, Precious. We'll be there. But will it also be the 'Non-Invitational' ? We old timers know it as the DGR but not being invited weirdly appeals to me. Just a thought.Last edited by Susan; 09-18-2023, 09:24 AM.ain't skeered

I have the "contract" information from Tapoco and needless to say it is over the top. I would need an attorney to review and advise whether I should sign it. I really don't feel like going that route. But we have another option. Hear me out.
We can all just pick a date and book our hotels as individuals. There would be no discount. An example would be Overlook Cabin 1 where the current nightly rate is $289 and the signed agreement is $260 a night. That is a good discount but how much will it cost to have an attorney review.
If anyone wants to take a look at the contract sent let me know and I will forward it to you.

I was just through there on Tuesday this week and had lunch at the Tapoco Tavern. It's an awesome spot but it seems like every car club that visits bases out of there and it can get pretty busy. And by the way, there was an electronic sign on Deals Gap that said paving would begin on May 1. If they can get that all complete before the non-invitational I'm guessing two things: it'll be pretty cool to ride that great surface; and it's going to bring every hooligan in N. America there to do just that.

. If you need an invitation, this is not the rally for you.
