thank you mattb and wes!!!! there is a location not far from the gorge that is really good. you can go thru the tunnel and then instead of doing the entire gorge at the fork...go straight (stay on hwy 77) instead of bearing right (hwy715) . this takes you to 460. go right on 460 past Wellington and turn left on hwy1693 to Korea. then on to Big Woods and hwy1274. this is on south end of Cave Run Lake. google map the area...lots of various loops to do on 1950, 705, 772 3345 and others. the Frenchburg, Morehead, West Liberty area can be quite entertaining. these are some skinny little roads with curves. i haven't been on some of these in 10 yrs or so. the condition is unknown but they were great when i road 'em. so your on your own....

When we had the rally in Richmond, we went to a restaurant down near the Kentucky River. They had lamb fries, and I ordered them . Yum!

We came across The Stave in / near Frankfort. They were very good. Meanwhile, reckon we'll have to check to see who has lamb fries.

MattA's word is good, he's put me one some twisted shit out there in KY, the kind where you look like you are trying to smell your ass while looking through the turn... the perfect kind of roads.

...probably not at these locations, (not much more than a crossroads) but the above mentioned restaurants do.

Those are some nice sounding places. Any chance of getting good pie in any of them? (Asking for a friend.)

if you find yourself around the horse country (north side of lexington), paris has several good food stops and cynthiana as well. we had lunch a few years ago in cynthiana at Biancke's.
