Wrapping up Saturday.
When in Slade you have to go through the Nada Tunnel. 900', one lane. If you don't see headlights you better get it.
Me on the other side. Cheated death yet again. Although not quite as scary as the time I shared a room with Joe.
Some of the scenery you see in ol' Kentuck.
OK Curt, if you haven't been paying atention up to this point, pay attention here. Adventures make me thirsty. Curt's bar picture.
Made from shipping containers.
The band that night was "Garage Lobotomy".
All in all a cool time. If you haven't made the Kentucky rally you're missing out. Sucks to be you. Make it next year.

Siince I bought an aventure bike, we took an adventure. Said bike on that adventure.
Sky Bridge, a natural arch in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
My wife Elizabeth came this year, her second rally. She seemed to enjoy it and all the folks she met. Go figure.
Here she is holding up the arch. Look at those guns. Elizabeth strong like bull.
Here's one one the way to broke leg falls.
Here's Broke Leg Falls

Yea, what Bill said. We've already sent in our reservation for next year. Good times!

It's great to see old friends except these friends are not really old and I've been seeing them all summer. It really is a pleasure to meet up with all of you.
Steve at the BBQ Grill Dale and I found down a long gravel road.
I went six miles down this gravel road until a man in a truck said the bridge is gone and I can not make it across.
Of course, Thanks again for the Billy & Dale Show. You guys are great!

Rode all the way home with no rain. We left it behind us.
Stopped in Abington, Va for gas and lunch around noon.
As we pulled out on I81, we dropped in behind Rob and Beth, heading home. We rode together for a while then separated.
Got home around 3:00 pm, tired but mama was happy.
Hay, Matt; We had a harley experience on the way home in KY.
4 lane divided highway, overtaking 3 harleys running hard [about 60 mph] making lots of noise.
I passed the one in back, but the front 2 were running nose to tail in 2 lanes. I flashed the high beam at the one in the left lane and could see his grin in his mirror.
He moved to the center of the lane to block me. I was going to blow past on the white line but we were approaching a red light, and I backed off.
As they both stopped side by side in the center of their lanes, I rolled to a stop on the white line between them and turned and grinned at the big guy on the left.
When the light changed, he gunned it and took off with a roar.
I looked at the guy on the right and laughed. Then I just rolled on and went to about 70 in first gear, passing him in a flash when he was doing maybe 30 mph.
They did not try to catch up with me.

Headed to Slade last Wednesday morning through the tunnel on US25.
Bill and Dale fixing to feed a few hungry folks.
Chow time.
Hanging out at Lil Abner.
On Thursday Susan and I took a covered bridge tour.
Then came back to the motel to do laundry.
Another Bill and Dale feast.
Resting. I can't remember if this is before or after food. We ate well.
Snake Farm at Sitty Hall.
Saturday evening. Dale, Stormy and Wes. Almost over.
Next year is Aug 18-21, 2022 in Slade at Lil Abner Motel. Details to be posted. Ride, drive, walk, run or crawl, but be there! A huge THANKS to MattG, THE, Dale, Bill, for setting this up and feeding us all. It was over far too quickly.
