Stayed at Harrietville.... $11 beers a bit steep... Pool comp rigged by the staff playing and winning... Pool was nice for a swim... bout 18 degrees C.
Had breakfast in Bright and set off over Towonga Gap to Mt Beauty, up to Falls Creek, onto Bomb Corner, left to Mitta Mitta pub for a beer n lunch, back to Harrietville via Lockhart's Gap and Towonga Gap. Purchased a few cases of beers and bottles of red wine this time.. had a swim and a merry night , Doctor350 (K1300R) joined us in the morning for a day ride.

After a big night, the group broke apart to head home and other places... Few of us went to Bright for breakfast and then me and Dobbo headed North.

good effort for 5 days riding. it was 32 degrees C every day. Great to catch up with some of the boys. I gave the gsxr750 a flogging, it performed flawlessly, the $3000 worth of suspension work really paid off, that bike was planted to the road the whole time.
I swapped bikes with Wardy for the run back over Towonga Gap, That Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is insanely good, goes around corners like its on rails, most comfortable seat every, stupid amount of power!! Ride one if you get the chance.

That's all folks, feel free to add more Doctor350.

hey mate, that's the first group ride I have done in Australia for a few years, different groups go at different times. I'm up for a ride next year around the start of March. If any of you guys are keen to come to Australia and ride, let me know through here.

KMat, if I get it started as more than just an idle dream, I'll definitely start visiting with you in detail.

                Not another tyre thread......
The Metzler M9rr's worked perfectly as usual, evenly worn. I will only use Metzlers on my bikes now. Click image for larger version

Do the sipes go through the center of the tire. Lee wants to know. He's very picky about that.

the middle of the tyre has no tread as pictured. does Lee like some tread or no tread throught the middle?
Regardless these tyres are exceptional in the wet.

Lee likes a grove across the middle of the tire. He's right when he complains that without that, there's really know sure way of knowing how worn the tire is in the center. That's import to those of us in places were curves are few and far between.
