I was pretty confused right there. I saw Cabnfvr post and then another post that sounded just like Tim and Susan... " Asheville is sort of on the way to Arkansas for me." and realized it wasn't them!!
Although, to paraphrase Susan talking to a local in Texas (places may be mistaken). To fill in the gaps, they were living in Pennsylvania and were in Texas.
Local looking at PA plates: You drive all the way here?
Susan: Oh yeah!
Local: Where ya headed?
Susan: North Carolina!
With that logic, if you live in Va, Asheville is on the way to Arkansas. -

Actually we were living in NC at the time, when we were at Death Valley and a lady saw our tag. She asked if we rode from NC. I may have wanted to tell her that it beat walking but said that we were on our way to Texas.

Just spoke to Louis (in Canada) earlier... He said he'd make it if all the planets align. Probably drive down rather than ride.. I had forgotten the border between the US and Canada is still closed..
also I just got off the phone with Denis (Earthman) Demers in Vermont.. (the mustachioed deplorable on the left..)... He's interested. He quit riding for a while due to a crash and subsequent head injury, but is back on a bike and riding on the backroads of his area.. He's doing well. Would be kinda cool to see him again..Comment

Moving the Arkansas rally to the week after Pirate's party will probably make for a cold ride home from Arkansas.Lee
