FYI.. The guest list grows... Got off the phone earlier with Balaji Ramados (who's living in Florida.) He and Greg Curtis are coming up together for the event... Here's a shot of them from DGR9. Greg on the left, and Balaji on the right...

Pirate, I am planning on attending should the borders open up.

Mike, yes I did indeed but I did leave the kitchen sink at home ;-)

re "I am planning on attending should the borders open up."... That's easy.. Just fly to Mexico and walk across our southern border.. It's wide open and you even get free healthcare while here...

He gets free healthcare now, but it takes two years.
      Ask Martin.

I'd love to attend, but 900+ miles for a burger....can you sweeten the deal? It would however be great to see the old gang, many of whom must now be really old. At my last gathering I was still in my 60's.

Sweeten the deal? Pretty sure we're also gonna have KFC, too... I'll see what I can come up with... BTW... Just spoke with Vicken Totten a few days ago.. She used to attend the early I-BMW rallies.. She's coming to the partay and she lives 3000 miles away....

OK guys and gals... My search for the former group members is progressing slowly.. It's like trying to hunt down a cool breeze.. Many have disappeared with the wind..

Still have had zero success trying to locate George Pepper... He's moved out west... His website for Huckbald (the musical alter-ego of Pep) seems unattended... Any clues to his whereabouts is appreciated..

Here's another guy I need help with... Barry Gibbs..He's attended almost all the I-BMW events at one time or another.. Coincidentally.. I got a call from him about 6 months ago. He was just checking in to say hello. He's still living in Texas... Retired and doesn't ride any more. Spends most of his time fishing in the gulf. The good life.

If anyone has any contact info, please let me know.. He may have lived in or near San Antonio.. Pretty sure is wasn't Kerrville, He used to own a car dealership, I think but which one? Both these shots were from one of the Texas rallies.

Barry had a Porsche shop in the Dallas area.
I'll ask James if he has any contact info.
Found his company. Don't know if he's still connected with it. https://nine-eleven.com/history/

When I goggled Barry it showed he owned the shop for about 40 years. Looks like he sold it about 5 years ago.
The new owner may be able to help you with contacting Barry.

3/26: OK some new news on attendees.. Thanks to Lee, I located and spoke with Barry Gibbs today... He's been fighting cancer, but seems to have beaten it.. He has 2 more chemo sessions and the prognosis looks good.. He says he and his wife will probably make the 1000 mile drive (in their camper) to the party.

Also spoke with Hank Arriazola (pic below) the other day.. He's touring in North Africa as we speak. He says if he's not leading a tour into Mexico the week of the party, he'll also make the drive from Texas.. Some of you may or may not know Hank.. He used to be the top BMW mechanic at Rhinewest. Now he own and runs his own place... MotoHank.com. He attended a few of the I-BMW rallies and installed the "chip" in a few dozen bikes... Great guy.

Thanks again Lee for the name of Barry's dealership.. They hooked us up.

After consulting with the wife, I believe I will be there with a +1! She knows none of you, has heard some stories, but is a lot like me... for good or bad.

But only one of us will possibly moon the group.

Tony and I took a ride with him, all of us on red bikes. He was leading at a high rate of speed. We watched an officer pullout and begin to pursue him. They never caught him and Tony and I were followed several times but not pulled over. He eventually made it back to the motel after pulling his bike down and laying in the woods for an extended time. Tons of cops were swarming the area for a long time. He was wearing a different color jacket than Tony and myself and that's probably what saved us.

Too funny... I was reading the first line of this, when I got to "but is a lot like me" I was going to reply to ask if that meant that she would be mooning the group. :roflmao:

Been too long since I've seen you Kyle, but if Brenda is just like you, you've found a good one.
