    89 in Comanche.
Lite rain between Medina and Llano.
First wet roads in 13 days.
Radar on my GPS was showing a lot of red east of us north and south of Dallas. Hope Curt, Steve and Tim were ahead of that. They left several hours before us.
About every 10 minutes I would get severe thunderstorm warning and Tornado Watch on my GPS. Wish there was a way to shut those off once I'm aware.
Stopped to see a couple we know in Fredericksburg to see if they had any new toys.
They were out but offered to remotely open the hanger.
Wish I had said yes so I could get a better look of the Stearman.
    Took pictures through the windows.

Yes, they have a small 2 story living area on the side of the hangar.
        It's a nice place.
Maybe next year the 4 of us can stop by.

More Tornado Warnings today. We were a little east of the thunderstorms and stayed dry.
We'll decide in the morning if we'll stay another night here or head east into Arkansas.
Right now the weather looks too severe.

Our town in Iowa had minor Tornado damage yesterday, but no damage on our street.

Noisy night with all the heavy rain, high winds and thunder. Debbie slept through most of it. One time when the rain was hammering the window she woke up and said HAIL and went back to sleep. At least the bikes got a good high pressure soft water rinse.
If we leave late I think we'll still catch up with the storms. It's still raining.
When I told the front desk lady we're staying another night, she smiled and said she programmed our keys for 2 night when she checked us in yesterday.
She said there were several tornadoes last night. Closest was Sulphur,Ok about 50 miles west of us.

I didn't mind riding in the rain. Zipped up it was like being in a diving suit and being completely dry. Of course you still need good visibility.

            #54
In 2 weeks we only rode an hour in lite rain.
No strong winds and did not have any days that were too hot or too cold.

But didn't you have to layover a couple of times because of threats?

I hear that Arkansas has a population of about 3 million people. I think there are also about 45 teeth spread out between them.

Checked out the water level today at the Ponca low water Bridge.
Two days ago it was 3 feet over the concrete crossing

Took the Hasty road to Jasper for breakfast.
A lady who's worked at the Ozark Cafe a long time did not realize The Gordon motel was open for business. She said there's never any cars parked there.
From Jasper we took 43 and 74 west to 23, then 23 north to Eureka. We'll spend 2 nights here.
Last 15 miles were sprinkles and lite rain.

Leaving Eureka Springs this morning we took 221 to Berryville, then 221 and 39 north, then 60 to Rpublic.
Stopped at the same spot we did 3 weeks ago. Shell Knob, Mo on Table Rock Lake.

A few miles on I44, then 160 and 123 north. 13 to Clinton, Mo.
Truman Lake is higher than we can remember seeing in the past.
              Spending the night in Clinton.
              We'll arrive home tomorrow.
